| Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - The Carolina Panthers have re-signed defensive end Antwan Applewhite. Terms were not immediately disclosed. Applewhite joined the Panthers last October and compiled 25 tackles with two sacks and one forced fumble in 12 games, starting one. The 26-year-old San Diego State product spent his first three NFL seasons with the Chargers, appearing in 31 games with 13 starts. He has 5 1/2 career sacks and 93 tackles. |

| Green Bay, WI (Sports Network) - The Green Bay Packers re-signed cornerback Jarrett Bush Thursday. The Packers claimed Bush off waivers from the Carolina Panthers in 2006 and the 27-year-old has missed just two games over the past six seasons. Last year, Bush set new career-highs with two interceptions and 1 1/2 sacks over 16 games with two starts. | Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - The Carolina Panthers announced Thursday that they have signed guard Mike Pollak and linebacker Kenny Onatolu. Pollak, a second-round pick in 2008, has spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Colts. He played in 58 games (41 starts) for Indianapolis. Onatolu recorded 44 tackles in 48 contests with the Vikings over three seasons. The Panthers also announced that defensive back R.J. Stanford signed his one- year exclusive rights contract. |

Brown, a 2009 second-round pick of the Carolina Panthers, has yet to live up to expectations, recording just six sacks in three years. Anderson signed with Carolina prior to last season and played behind No. 1 draft pick Cam Newton. He appeared in two games for the Panthers but did not attempt a pass. Tolbert, who had been with the Chargers since 2008, will be a part of a backfield in Carolina that features DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. The deal is reported to be worth $25 million with $7 million guaranteed. Mathis started 15 games for the Eagles last season. A third-round draft choice by the Carolina Panthers in 2005, Mathis has played in 73 career games with 37 starts for the Panthers, Bengals, Dolphins and Eagles. |
